UCD Cub Scouts Are Locked In!
What do you say about locking up a bunch of Cub Scouts in one place and keeping them overnight? If you said it sounds like a blast then you are right!! Tons of cubs and their parents from around the UCD joined us for this years Cub Scout Lock-In during the 2nd weekend of January at First United Methodist Church. A big night of fun was had by all who attended.
Among some of the belt loops earned were Art, Astronomy, Chess, Citizenship, Communications, Geology, Map & Compass, Music, Wildlife, Language & Culture, Basketball, Marbles, Volleyball, Physical Fitness. Other activities included Knots, Checkers, Investigative Skills, Legos, First Aid, Leave No Trace, Readyman, and Scientist.
Wow, what a great way to start off the 100 Years of Scouting!! This is always a huge event for our district and this year lived up to the billing. A big thank you goes out to the organizers, volunteers, and instructors who helped make this a great event!!
