The fall camporee Viking Challenge II is just over a month away. This camporee was very popular when it was held 6 years ago. We hope to make it bigger and better.

I would like to a have a camporee meeting before Roundtable to work out any problems and answer any questions Troops may have. So we will have Viking Challenge II meeting in the Kroger conference room,

Tuesday August 30 6:30 pm. Attached is a updated information sheet on the rules, construction etc. I would like every Troop in the Upper Cumberland to be represented at this camporee.

For the meeting Scoutmasters or a representative are invited and encouraged to attend. Hopefully we can make a short report at Roundtable if we finalize details on the 30th.

I will have copies of the attachment at this meeting. Also the Spirit stick will be part of the competition.

I do need the number of patrols (ships) your Troop will bring as soon as you can send that information. We will have to obtain two canoes for each patrol.
