Dear Pack, Troop, Crew, and Post Leaders,
 
We need your assistance on two fronts.   First, can you identify a Membership person in your unit for coordination of recruiting efforts, Roundup and Open House dates?   Second, can you identify someone who can take the lead on PUBLICITY for your unit’s activities – program, outings, and community service.
 
Our District Director, Jeremy Belk, is leading/coordinating Roundups at selected schools before the school term ends.   We are looking forward to an all-out effort in the Fall to increase the numbers of youth in our programs – Cub Scouting, Scouting, Venturing, and Exploring.  We are looking at some recognition possibilities for youth recruiting youth and units who significantly increase their membership.
 
We, also, are looking for someone in the District to help our units gather photos and articles of our youth in the outdoor classroom and hopefully, have two or three weekly submissions to the Herald-Citizen and the county publications in Jackson, Clay, and Overton Counties.  Our youth and leaders are providing great programs and community service and there is a need to inform the community of the impact and benefits of Scouting in their community.
