Dear Upper Cumberland Scouters,  Our Fall Camporee will be held on September 30-October 2 2011 at Camp Light Waterfront, Boxwell Scout Reservation. The theme will be the Upper Cumberland District Viking Challenge II. Each troop will be issued two canoes. (Larger Troops will be issued two additional canoes per 15 boys, this needs to be approved by the camping committee) The canoes will be used to construct a Viking war ship on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon the ships will be launched and they will compete in a water balloon battle of epic proportions until one boat is left intact.

The cost will be $ 6.00 per person. Please respond to Dan Fenlon, ucdbsa@gmail.com if your Troop will attend and approximate number of scouts. We will need adults to help referee, help with rescue of Vikings overboard. Fill balloons with water for the battle. And to judge the Troops boats for the competitions described below. We will also need two troops to volunteer to host the campfire on Saturday night and the Sunday Scouts own service.
