Today the group of scouts and leaders from the Middle Tennessee Council leave for the Jamboree July 26 – Aug 4, the Jamboree starts this weekend in Fort A.P. Hill  Fredericksburg, Virginia,  Fort A.P. Hill will become the 2nd largest city in Virginia for 11 days with over 40,000 in attendance up to 70,000 counting day visitors in this the 100th Year of Boy Scouting in the United States. 

From the 37 counties of the Middle TN Council ,  almost 200 youth and adult leaders will be attending in 5 Council Contingent Troops  including over 20 from the 4 counties of the Upper Cumberland District.  Dester Wilson , SM Troop 72 is serving as one of the Scoutmasters .

Please keep this group and the whole event in your prayers that they will have a safe trip and return with memories that will last a lifetime.
