The Middle Tennessee Council’s Venturing Committee is now accepting nominations for Council Venturing President. This Venturer must be a registered member of a crew and be at least 16 years of age and not turn 21 prior to December 31, 2011.

This president will promote and represent the Middle Tennessee Council’s Venturing program, promote summer camping opportunities, and help develop a Venturing Officers Association of their peers that will help guide the Council’s committee. Other duties include serving as a youth member of the Council Venturing Committee and promote training to Venturing officers and advisors.

In order to nominate a Venturer a crew may submit one nominee in a letter to Sherry McGugin, Council Venturing Chairperson at the Jet Potter Service Center by May 31, 2010. The letter should include contact information, accomplishments in and out of Scouting and why they should be the next Council Venturing President.
